Connecting people in need to service providers​

The annual Sydney Homeless Connect event was held at Sydney Town Hall on 7th July 2016. The event is about bringing together as many essential services as possible to assist underprivileged people in NSW gain access to services that may help take them out of homelessness. 

Guests received free haircuts, shoes, dental and medical checks, and sessions with housing agencies to name a few of the services on offered. The day is about outcomes and practical support. Free transportation to and from the event has been made available with the support from NSW Transportation.

The Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW (ADB) is at the event and offered services on tenancy rights, anti-discrimination matters, employment and people’s rights to goods and services. Other agencies and governmental bodies include Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON), Fair Trading NSW, Fire Brigade NSW, Office of State Revenue, Legal Aid NSW and others.
