Annual Report 2010-2011

 Highlights for 2010-11 include:

  • answered 5,638 enquiries
  • received 1,332 complaints and finalised 1,206 complaints
  • legislative change to enable complaints to be submitted by email
  • provided training for around 9,000 people in 588 workplace training sessions, plus 1,600 people in community training
  • ran successful poster competition for young people
  • website received over 800,000 hits
  • participated in Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras for first time in ten years
  • refined procedures for privacy management and services for people with a disability
  • significant decision in case of insurance company wanting to offer different premiums on the basis of marital status
