Practical skills for implementing diversity

Diversity and equal opportunity involve policies, procedures and practices, templates, plans and skills for collecting and working with data. This course covers the practicalities of non-discriminatory recruitment and avoiding discrimination in other management activities. 

Content
  • policies, procedures and action plans
  • recruitment, including developing role descriptions, advertising and selection processes
  • avoiding complaints of discrimination and bullying in areas such as performance management, making changes, and offering training and promotion
  • what is reasonable in flexible work practices and adjustments for disability
  • redundancy and terminating employment
  • building a healthy, diverse workplace culture
