Let the experts help you

The Anti-Discrimination Board is the leading authority on anti-discrimination law in NSW and can bring you the latest information about best practice and legal developments.

Our on-site presentations and seminars go beyond mere compliance to show you how to develop inclusive, diverse and healthy workplace and organisational cultures.

A healthy workplace or team culture – characterised by diversity, inclusion, mutual respect, trust, and equity – is the best way to end discrimination, bullying and sexual harassment, and ensure equal opportunity for everyone.

We have a wide range of courses on preventing discrimination, harassment and bullying, grievance handling, non-discriminatory work practices and understanding anti-discrimination law.

We can provide all our courses on-site at your premises. We also provide some courses as public seminars.

  • On-site training - we provide presentations at your premises and customise them to suit your industry and mix of people.
  • Public seminars - for organisations that have only a few people who need education.

Experience counts

  • our interactive sessions use small group work, role plays, problem solving and discussion to engage participants and increase understanding
  • our neutral and independent approach gives us credibility with managers and staff at all levels of an organisation
  • our educators are experts at dealing positively with difficult questions
  • we explain the connection between anti-discrimination law and other laws such as work health and safety, fair work, industrial relations and common law
  • our face-to-face training fosters in-depth understanding of the issues and motivates participants to develop positive values, embrace change and contribute to a healthy organisational culture.

“Catholic Cemeteries and Crematoria engaged the expert services of Rhonda from the Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW to review our policies and provide training across our organisation onsite at Rookwood and Liverpool. The facilitator was able to engage a diverse range of employees from management, sales, administration and outdoor services. The sessions were stimulating and prompted much positive discussion. It was also noticeable that issues of possible discrimination and bullying were brought to our attention following the sessions. We regularly engage the services of the Board as a reasonable step measure to enable safe and healthy workplace culture and will continue to do so in the future."

We have been using the training and awareness expertise of the ADB for over a decade as mandatory corporate training.

All attendees have gained insights, knowledge and skills that have equipped them for the modern workplace and indeed society.

We at Manly Council recommend ADB training to any employer or organisation that strives for a respectful, civil, harmonious and productive workplace.

Norths rely on the expert training provided by the ADB to bring our policies and procedures to life. Our aim is to prevent bullying anharassment and regular face to face training ensures our employees are vigilant and equipped with the tools for stopping unwanted behaviour.

Through [trainer]’s training we have developed Contact Officers and greater communication across the organisation on the important issues of Workforce Diversity Groups (EEO)bullying and harassment.

This training not only seeks to protect the employees but also the organisation.
