Annual Report 2012-2013    

 Highlights for 2012-13 include:

  • answered 5,030 enquiries
  • received 1,053 complaints and finalised 1,042 complaints
  • provided training for around 5,779 people in 366 workplace training sessions and 24 seminars, plus 1,845 people in community training
  • provided advice on 18 applications for exemption from the Anti-Discrimination Act
  • published updated guidelines for the hotel and accommodation industry
  • met with agencies in Bourke to foster better relations in the community
  • participated in 14 Good Service consumer information forums for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • commissioned a review of the education service with the aim of broadening the scope of the service and providing a more sustainable revenue base
  • restructured to achieve budget savings, involving the removal of five positions and three redundancies
