Annual Report 2006-2007

Highlights for 2006-07 include:

  • answered 7,184 enquiries
  • received 1.098 complaints and finalised 1,113 complaints
  • increase in number of complaints resolved by conciliation, due to improved time taken to deal with complaints
  • provided training for 7,624 people in 523 workplace education sessions
  • ran successful art competition for young people
  • held seminar on relationship between discrimination law and WorkChoices legislation
  • launched new guidelines for hoteliers in conjunction with the Australian Hotels Association
  • designed new letterhead, business cards and compliments slips
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team provided training for real estate agents in conjunction with other agencies
