Guidelines for union representatives

These guidelines are invaluable for union representatives who need to address workplace discrimination and harassment.

They provide information on anti-discrimination, harassment and industrial relations law, legal liability, the responsibilities of union representatives, members' rights and responsibilities, awards and enterprise agreements, and how to help members sort out discrimination and harassment complaints.

The guidelines:

  • help Union delegates assist their members to deal with discrimination issues in the workplace,
  • highlight the responsibility of Unions to contribute to safe and secure working conditions.
